"You have heard the rumours and it is with a heavy heart we must make this official. The band have tried to solve the situation several times, but Messiah cannot be persuaded to sing on the new album. His attitude and demands are way too unreasonable. I'm very sorry about this, not surprised though.
We have all been very disappointed with Messiah's behaviour during the previous years reunion, especially with his childish and undemocratic way to 'discuss' matters before the may recording at Polar in Stockholm. It's not cool when one person refuses to listen to other people, don't give a shit about his bandmates and demands special treatment. Sure, a little bit of primadonna vices is allowed in a band. But when it comes to the extent that it's 'my way or the highway' in every little discussion that comes up, it is not fun anymore. We like the thought of five equal metalheads playing together, having fun in the rehearsalroom, at gigs etc. That's the whole point of it if you ask us. Unfortunately negativity and stupidity have been dictating the rules for CANDLEMASS lately.
We hope you all can understand how disappointed we are. And angry! Disappointed with the fact that a grown man can behave so badly towards others — his friends — and for such a long time. And so easily, when he doesn't get everything he wants, throws it all away. We're still in shock! We never thought it was possible for somebody in this great band to have such a bad attitude towards his bandmates!
We are also angry that we have bought the shit for so long. Been fucked over so much, so many times since the reunion 2002. It's really shameful!
It only took a couple of gigs to understand that Messiah wasn't back to make friends, so we have fought hard to keep this together for you — our fans. It's been a rough ride, but when you stand in front of 200 or 2,000 or even 20,000 screaming fans it's worth all trouble.
And yes, it was close that last album didn't include Messiah, but we made it happen because we love this music and we love that you guys love us!! But it was the last album with Messiah Marcolin on vocals. We can't deal with the big man anymore. Sorry!! We tried to reason with him before the recording of the new one but Messiah's behaviour was beyond the acceptable. Mr. Marcolin has been too much to take and the reasons behind his departure from CANDLEMASS are not very flattering for him. No details, sorry....too embarrassing...
On the positive side (there is one!), this can make the band stronger and lead to something better. We don't stand and fall with Messiah Marcolin. We will look hard for a worthy replacement because we got a superb album recorded already. With the right voice it will kill!! We hope for a new start with CANDLEMASS, a band we love way too much to ditch because of one rotten apple!!"

- Ça bouge aussi chez Enthroned qui pour rester fidèles à leur vision du black metal ont décidé de se séparer de leur fameux frontman, voici la déclaration du groupe (plus précsisément, de Nornagest) :

"On October 19th 2006, the decision was taken that longtime vocalist Sabathan won't be a part of ENTHRONED anymore. It was time to choose whether we would go on like this and lead ENTHRONED to a certain death or whether it will continue in its original perspectives.
I've been involved within this creation for almost 15 years and Sabathan has always been my war-brother within this journey, but some issues occurred between him and the rest of the band regarding several factors, but we prefer to keep those things in between ourselves, things that [aren't] your business.
To make a long story short; Sabathan isn't interested nor have conviction in our faith (black metal here so to speak) anymore, and for the last two years we were not able to practice nor to write music in a decent way.
ENTHRONED has always been an honest band. ENTHRONED is a feeling, a faith, a devotion to our belief and to ourselves and we can't allow a member, whoever it is, to pretend to be something nor someone he isn't especially being a frontman and speaking in our name. Thus, 'people who do not talk with each other for a year do not belong in the same band.' A statement which fits quite well the situation, I must say.
The situation we had for the last two years couldn't lead in another direction than this one, so for the good of the band this was the only solution.
This news might sound shocking for most, but think further and realize that if the three of us (and especially me, knowing Sabathan for more than 13 years) took this decision, there was a VERY good reason behind it.
Now, for those who would wonder if ENTHRONED will continue without Sabathan, the answer is definitely: YES! I wrote 90% of the music and lyrics since 'Towards the Skullthrone of Satan' and my devotions are still the same for all those years. We are working now on the next opus with a new member which will be presented in the next months."

- On termine ces histoires avec le départ de Gilles (batterie) et Olivia (basse) du groupe belge Aborted... Voici les explications, toujours en anglais :

"Being in a band like ABORTED at this point takes a lot of investment and commitment. Right now we are not making money to support members of the band. Every tour is a financial hazard for the band which forces us to keep the small amounts of money we do make on shows to keep as backup if anything goes wrong on tour or any other situation, so that we don't have to pay the bills from our own pockets anymore. The result of this is quite simple: we can't afford to pay band members to play in this band. These conditions are simple facts and didn't work for Gilles and Olivia, which made it quite obvious they couldn't be in the band anymore.
We would like to welcome Peter Goemaere, who also plays in EMETH as a replacement for Olivia. Peter already performed with the band on a show in Tel Aviv (Israel) where he replaced Olivia who cancelled few days before leaving for Israel.
The band is currently recording the new album, 'Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture' with producer Tue Madsen at the Antfarm in Denmark. Drums on the record have been taken care of by Dave Haley from the band PSYCROPTIC and drums in the upcoming shows this and next year (until a fitting permanent replacement has been found) will be handled by Etienne Galo from the band NEGATIVA. Etienne's first show with the band will be on October 31st in Opwijk, Belgium. The band is currently taking auditions for a new drummer. Serious inquiries can be sent to aborted@telenet.be or avernusstudios@gmail.com.
The new album is scheduled to be released worldwide mid-February through Century Media Records and features several guest performances by Jeff Walker (CARCASS), Jacob Bredahl (HATESPHERE) and Henrik Jacobsen (HATESPHERE)."
